The Carra House is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. We provide solutions today that will prevent problems tomorrow, through intervention and mentoring programs for at-risk teens with support for their families, education services to those in need of a high school diploma and skill/confidence building tools for those who require a nudge to get back to their lives.
Not everyone will complete their high school education in the traditional way. However, most people realize how important it is to have a high school education and earn their diploma.
Carra Academy helps those without a diploma turn their lives around by participating in our 180-Day accelerated course of studies that leads to a high school diploma. We call it "Do A 180',
Carra Academy has a different approach to education. We believe education is a combination of academics, problem-solving skills, social interactions, values and beliefs. Not all learn the same way, but all students are capable of learning. Persons without a high school diploma; regardless of age, face a different set of challenges every day. Whether it be lack of job opportunities, high incarceration rate, lower wages, homelessness, domestic violence, drug abuse or illness, the reality for them at times can seem hopeless. The Carra Academy is an agent for change by offering an alternative path to a high school diploma. We are today's solution for tomorrows problem.

The Carra House provides necessary services to at-risk teens and adults. Due to government budget cuts, many programs to help those in need are no longer available or significantly diminished. The Carra House raises funds in support of our programs. With the help of your donations we can continue to help those in need.
